Learned From The Past A Poem

Soon I might be back to me
The one who thinks positively.
The one whose heart
Is not in pieces
The one who thinks
She has a future
With a new someone.
Letting go of the old
Infatuation and rejection.
Thinking something good
Will be on the horizon.

Yes I can say with
Near certainty
That my heart
Is ready to take
Another chance.
But will this time
Be any different?
Will I have a superior
Process of vetting
Than I previously had?
I hope I have learned.
Yes, I hope I have learned
From the past.
