A Network Of Precious Moments A Poem

I don't want to monopolize your time
I know you have your own life
I just want a sliver or a slice
That time with you spent
Has become my own
Particular kind of heaven.

It's never going
To be perfect
There will almost
Always be
Room for improvement.
But moment to moment
Each connection
That keeps us in
The other's mind'e eye
Is precious
And soul renewing.

Precious moments
That term has
Become overused.
But they are still
So very appropriate
For the time
I spend with you.

A renewed soul
From those moments
Those slivers and slices
Of time that we share
With one another
Whether together
Or just occupying
One another's mind.
Let those nerve endings
Associated with happiness
Never be severed
Let them be forever fed
With nutrients.
Let those precious moments
Become a network
That branches out
Offering light
To the parts of us
That are dark.

 There is nothing wrong with being fanciful when it inspires such beautiful thoughts and sentiment. Always be that cockatoo and not a hawk!
