I Only Have Me. A Poem

I only have me
I wish I had you
Here by my side
Not just once
But frequently.

I only have me
I could add
Myself and I
To reaffirm
That cliche.
But those other
Words are the same
You are still missing

When in the world
Where is the place
That you and I
Can meet?
Come together
Share some time
In each other's
Physical presence?
That day
Shall become engrained
Into my memory.
Lasting
Yes lasting
Until I take my
Final breath
And find myself
Ashes in a grave.
