Polygamy vs Monogamy

I have been monogamous all my life, but do have friends that are polygamous.I do not judge them for their lifestyle, because it is their life. Both my male and female friends with a polygamous history, are dating others and said they would remain faithful.Yet so far they have not. They are just slick about it,by claiming they had an out of town business meeting, ill friend in another city etc.I see polygamy as something we are born with and is not necessarily a lifestyle choice. The 3 above have been doing it since their college years, and now in their late 40's still continue.None of their spouses or significant others are aware that they went back on their promise to them.I see polygamy much as I see being gay or being a lesbian. No,I am not saying there is anything wrong with any of those, and I accept who and how they are.Just as gay and lesbian it would be difficult if not impossible to change. They have no reason to change anyway, because it is their life. But my 3 friends above have hurt many men and women,by promising to change.Maybe I am on the wrong site because,I believe a person should be open and honest, vice promising and then breaking it.Just as a gay or lesbian,I think they should find a person such as themselves.Sites such as this make it easy.So I must ask,if anyone thinks that a person with a constant 25-35 year history of polygamy would find it easy to be in a 1 on 1 relationship? If so,why do the 3 people I know tell me it is almost like an addiction for them, that they seriously tried, but cannot give up.
