84 hours+ a week....finally free

Haven't posted in too long because most recently, I have been working a turnaround at a power plant. The schedule is 12 hours a day or night and 7 days a week. Good money but the physical and mental toll is hard. Just enough time to shower, eat and go to sleep....then get up and do it all over again.
Days turn into a repetitious blur of numbing exhaustion. Nights are worse as the sleep cycle is upside down. Never get enough sleep, can't sleep good during the day.
Crawling into power plant boilers means tight spaces and lots of accumulated rust
inches deep. Grinding sparks and welding flashes illuminate the cavernous rust colored interiors.

Now....after 3 days....I am somewhat recovered for almost 8 weeks of this and the beach was so damn beautiful today. Flat water, clear water with 15 foot visibility...hundreds of hatchetfish circling me in 16 feet of water. Schools of Atlantic Spadefish, mullet, anchovies and sheephead meandering to and fro.
A medium size school of my favorite fish....Snook hanging at the bottom.
Can't spearfish them anymore...sigh. They are some great eating.
Fishing with a pole caught....black drum, redfish, spanish mackerel, and my first and now favorite eating fish...Pompano. Oh it was so delicious.

Hoping this calm winds hold out for a few days and the water will stay clear.
Somedays are so beautiful and wonderful......good to be alive
