You almost got one thing right. “most were asked for there resignation when the new administration came to power.” All had submitted their resignations prior to Trump’s January inauguration as is required of officials holding jobs appointed by the president. It is a requirement. Also, "It's the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember,"

Also, it is their (possessive pronoun) not there (adverb). English much?

As pointed out in the article – these aren’t political appointees they are the people who carry out the daily work of the government. It also stated,”Their jobs are to manage the State Department and take care of the thousands of its employees stationed at diplomatic postings all over the world.” Oh and . . .FACT, Trump’s people were trying to get them to stay.

Next time bring facts or stay away – I don’t tolerate ignorance or liars.

 I work in an environment where a few years ago a great early retirement package was offered. Almost every department or division manager was eligible and took it. The loss of "history" was extremely detrimental.
