Poking Around And Lookee What I Found

I found a few things yesterday and today while poking around another site, something that may be of interest to some members here.

I was on Fishy reading a message then logged off. There is a small link, which says “Sex Personals”, so out of curiosity I clicked on it. There was an ad for a place named Adult hook up dot and some info about it which says:
“Voted the #1 Casual Dating Site by the Online Dating Council”
Hummm says I . . . what is the “Online Dating Council” so I goog’d it. No info, or site, on the ”Online Dating Council” if it even exists. No surprise really, probably just some BS entity made up to market a site – nothing new in that. But I got curiouser.

Turns out Fishy has a forum where members can post things on various subjects. It is divided into topics, including a potentially interesting “Profile Review” section, which I may try out. Their forum is nowhere near as active, partly because it is hard to reach. I haven’t found a way to access it while I am logged on. But there is a very small link that is only available after sign off at the bottom of the page where the Help and Corporate info is located.

So then I got to thinking about the new “Confirmed” thing here and noticed a local woman is now “Confirmed” – one who I contacted on Fishy recently. I figured I should ask her why she did the “Confirmed” thing and I realized something. Fishy is an option for connecting with A*F*F/Pazzion members – for free.

2 of the 3 local (a small area) A*F*F/ Pazzion members I met in 2015 are there, plus at least one other local member. Also, there are at least 3 other members from the Phoenix area on Fishy and this is without even trying to “find” any.

My impression of PoF is that it is less geared toward sex than this one is. The profiles I have been able to compare sure have significantly different messages.

There is someone on PoF who I met via here, she was potentially a LTR until she “got her panties in a bunch” (her quote not mine) about a post I wrote and went all on and off silent on me.

 I had a profile on Pof about 7 years ago and again 7 months ago. My profile was different there because my misguided understanding of the site was that it was to meet people for a possible LTR. There's a lot more attention to detail when the expectations are for more than a chewtoy. I noticed about a dozen people I had seen before on this site.  I'd bet that, if you tried searching out your own handle on adult hook up, you'd find it there.

One way or another, all of these so-called dating site are linked in one form or another.

I was on a vanilla site until early last year and found many members from this site (locally) were on both sires.
