Veterans Day - THANK YOU

To those who read this and those who cannot

A grateful THANK YOU to ALL veterans.

Without you we might not be here or be able to say the things we say or do the things we do.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

In Canada, today is called Remembrance Day. Commemorative ceremonies are held across the country at cenotaphs, veteran hospitals, legions, cemeteries, etc.
We can never thank them enough and shall never forget.

I have family members who've shed their blood in this country's wars going back to King Phillip's War. It's kind of humbling when you stop to think about it, the sacrifices they made and the hardships they endured. A seventh great grandfather was with the Continental Army starting with the Battle of Long Island, during their retreat through New Jersey and crossed the Delaware Christmas Day 1776. He fought in the Battles of Trenton and Princetonas well. That campaign was "the times that try men's souls" that Thomas Paine wrote about. I've had no luck finding his grave- I HAVE tried. I'd like that burial place to be marked, and remembered.
