How I Feel Writing Some Of This Stuff

As I was going to grab some stuff to stick in my face today I was thinking about various things, some of which revolved around this site/blogs. Upon a request I am writing about a couple of things that happened back about 40 ish years ago – Dumb Shits, Different Vehicle Part 1 and a story I am still typing up about an "odd racquetball" story” which is really an odd date story.

Then there is the petty IMO bickering happening on the blogs. Then there are the changes the site has made. Then there is my current situation regarding meeting ‘wimmen’ around here. I live in a town that has only 1 or 2 women on this site and one has never acknowledged me when I emailed her. So the current prospects are few.

Then there is the woman in a town about 50 miles away who I met and had some fun with . She got pissed because I wrote about a girl who works in a local sandwich shop Sophia Loren, a hero is more than a sandwich and a spomb . After she read it she wrote: “Who knew a sandwich girl could get you so hot and bothered! ”. Hell, I never even asked her name and did I mention the “sandwich girl” turned out to be 16? Really? WTF?

Another is about the “deeper” reason I came to this site, which I ain’t telling. And those are just the things I am willing to “share” here.

Soooo, I’m thinking about this stuff while the “fast” “food” place screws up my order and as I finally drive through a song comes on the radio. I knew what the song was soon as the first few notes played (I can do that ) and I cranked it up as far as the ole radio and speakers could stand. Ran the windows down so the whole fucking town could hear and proceeded to do my best Max Weinberg imitation (oh HELL YEAH I can do that) on the steering wheel and crowed out the song as loud as my ole hoarse voice could handle annnd getting every word right (I can still do that too). So crank it up in your head boys and girls cause here it comes.

I had a friend was a big baseball player
back in high school
He could throw that speedball by you
Make you look like a fool boy
Saw him the other night at this roadside bar
I was walking in, he was walking out
We went back inside sat down had a few drinks
but all he kept talking about was

Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory daa aa aa aa ays

Well there's a girl that lives up the block
back in school she could turn all the boy's heads
Sometimes on a Friday I'll stop by
and have a few drinks after she put her to bed
Her and her husband Bobby well they split up
I guess it's two years gone by now
We just sit around talking about the old times,
she says when she feels like crying
she starts laughing thinking about

Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory daa aa aa aa ays

Now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink till I get my fill
And I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it
but I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of, well time slips away
and leaves you with nothing mister but
boring stories of glory days

Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory daa aa aa aa ays

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

“Who knew a sandwich girl could get you so hot and bothered! ”.

WTH? Are there not enough real things to get excited about? I'd have had one remark- "Goodbye."

Yeah, she actually is pretty cool to hang with and has “talents” . Maybe I’ll post up about it. The bigger problem with "Goodbye" here is the “talent” pool is small. So it would mean “Hello hand”. Enjoy the visual.

What happened to you and that woman from another town is the other side of the same coin - she got jealous of the figment of your or her imagination. Just like cats on this site get jealous and envious of whatever their imagination served them today or any other day. Cats will be cats...
Move back to LA, won't you?

I asked if she was jealous and she said “no” yeah right, later she said she, “got her panties in a bunch”, her words not mine. It’s become a story since then, haven’t seen her but talked and it got weird (best term I can come up with). Maybe I’ll post up about it.

Whhaaat? Cats on this site get jealous and envious, naahhh, say it ain’t so.

I’ve visited LA a few times since leaving (reunion, passing through, etc.). Here is quiet and peaceful, not sure I could, or would want to deal with a big city again. But hummmm . . . are there any hot 99yos there?

Sounds like a whiskey drinking while jamming my tunes kind of night.
