Blog Monitors

I read an interesting post, which addressed the deletion or removal of a post from the 'most recent posts' list by a blog monitor. I’ve heard there are monitors here but don’t really know much about them. So being the inquisitive kind of guy I am I have some questions about this. Can anyone provide some answers?

Who are the blog monitors and how many are there?
How do they get that position?
Are they employed or paid by the site(s)?
Is there a list of who they are and can they be contacted?
What “powers” do they have? Can they censor or delete posts?
Are they accountable in any way and if so to whom?
Is there any requirement for transparency? Like telling the bloggers why a post was deleted/moved.

The moved post compared the sexual habits of humans to another species. Not something I would write about, but it wasn’t offensive either. Why would they move, or do anything to a post about sex?

And the number one question (drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum roll please)
If there are monitors why don’t they ban/block or whatever the guy the vast majority of regular bloggers here dislike?

Thank you.

Your questions, answers or comments (agreeing or disagreeing in a respectful way) are encouraged and welcome.

Sooo Annette, could you pimp me to the local ‘wimmin’? They don’t seem to have caught on to that message.

Red he didn't agree with me about the program that runs around this site and does deny post because of a phase for word either.. I know for a fact after working with this Senior Sizzle group that it is true.. There are people at the other end reviewing what the program has found. hugssssssss V Just thing if that was person how many hours they be working on this one! Too many

I agreed with you until the site deactivated Sandra, Wordsmith and Japanese. Now I'm wondering whet they do and how. The are taking it a bit far.

In the past when I've had trouble with posts disappearing or denied I simply repost the exact same thing, which is usually all it takes. If not, I will post it again and again until it sticks. I Don't change a word.

blog on!

Interesting. This was more about censorship or blocking for other reasons if I understood the other bloggers position. Blog on

Yes I saw your post was MiA and later returned, and I asked questions. My post is not only about your post as I stated. Whether it is a blogger or site person I would like to know who they are etc since the practice is not transparent or spoken of much. This is particularly true since your bedbug post was not “Denied” for wording etc. and is not offensive. If you wish to link that post in a response I’m good with that so others can see. As I stated I would have thought the CRB entity (dork/troll or whatever it is) would be addressed by monitors long before that post was.

The things you say I know I choose to get more input about, hence my post. It looks like there are a some long time bloggers who have differing input. I will draw my conclusion(s) if any, based on everything I find.

Hi SS2 welcome back . That sounds about right but the subject came up again so I got curious. Thank you.
Thank you....I'm not really back....only the part of me that comments now and then....not the part of me that writes. It's liberating!

Ha! You said "transparency" in talking about this site! Ha! The only transparency you'll get is if you get adopted by a T-gurl!

A guy who has now disappeared made the blog monitor claim, which I really didn’t believe so I asked the question.

Who are the blog monitors and how many are there? There are no blog monitors on here for say but there is a program that runs around daily and checks for words like r.a.p.e. that will deny your thread. If you call or make a complaint is only time there is a person that will check it out.
How do they get that position? Do not know. Same as any business hired on to do a specific job.
Are they employed or paid by the site(s)? I believe the program triggers something and those pay employees will check what they have found.
Is there a list of who they are and can they be contacted? Contact Senior Sizzle by emailing them or calling them after your thread. Have your thread number ready if your calling or emailing.

What “powers” do they have? Can they censor or delete posts? Powers is them as they own the site. Same as your pictures one you post them they belong to them. They can delete them as well. Yes I have had a few threads that were denied because I used a word that was on their list.
Are they accountable in any way and if so to whom? Accountable to the site
Is there any requirement for transparency? Like telling the bloggers why a post was deleted/moved. Yes I feel you should post again and tell the watchers that your post was denied because they might be looking for a comment back from you.

Contact them yourself and ask all these questions to find out the true answer.. I only be on here for about 8 years and was working with Senior Sizzle working group and why I know about this program. hugssssssssss V

While in chatroom I did had one visitor from Site Support showed up to find out what was big problem that was happening in the room.. Came in as SS (Group) account showing. That was a real person.

Hi Sandra, Prior to the post on 10/9 that I read and referred to in this post, the only time I have heard about blog monitors was back when I was first reading blogs in early 2015. If I recall correctly it was a female blogger (I no longer recall which one) who had mentioned them. Can you tell me who the him you are thinking of is. Via my private blog Private Mailbox For Our Eyes Only or other non-public way.

I don't believe there are any Blog Monitors here....if there were we would see far fewer of the posts which blatantly breach the TOU.
