Points question

I noticed something I haven’t seen here before regarding the points I have. On my home page just below my pic the points I have now have shown up in a gray bar – I have 7009 as of this posting. Is there some sort of significance to reaching 7000 and the number showing up a bit more prominently? I rarely use them cause they seem to be just another gimmick here. I haven’t paid much attention to them so I don’t really know much about them. I’m not really sure how I even “earned” them.

Hi Sweets, I checked, 50k points gets you $100 – I doubt I’ll ever get that many points here. Maybe I'll figure out some way to use them.
