Another great day ..... home again
Just walked in from my normal Monday night Pacific Palisades Meeting. If you can't tell by my writing, I am in a 12 step group.....

24+ years ago, I found my outgo was exceeding my income ... and my upkeep was my downfall....also, ingesting alcohol to make me feel better; it was not working for me (or my ex-girlfriend or ). Being sober this long is truly amazing. I never thought I would want to stay sober, I only just wanted to pain of life's bullshit and the seeming addiction and chaos of my life to go away (and also to get all the stuff I lost back - smile).

Lucky for me, some things I really did get back..a few other things I got the better version and those other things I am very happy they did not return (the ex-girlfriend who was a sitcom actresses for one)! For a while, maybe my first 4 or 5 years, I steered clear of single women "in the rooms" to allow them to find their own balance and foundation for their own recovery. It seemed that may other men were jumping at the chance to meet and date the new "fresh meat" in the meetings, I always wave, say hello and move on to the new girls (women).

Back to tonight, the meeting was filled with many young people especially women (18-24 range) who are tattooed, grungy and just downright unattractive with the "millennial hipster look". What happened to dressing, proper decorum. The sexy torn jeans look I get, but the baggy men's pants and hoodies? Enough about that.

My question is, does the dress of a potential partner turn you on or off?
