By request - My February - 2016 songlist - with two interesting stories - a one page blog...

1. The Korgis - "Everybody's got to learn sometime"
2. Kelly Sweet - "We are one"
3. Lido - "Lost (feat. Muri - Stwo Remix)"
4. Ingrid Michaelson - "Parchute"
5. Autre Ne Veut - "On and on"
6. Skylar Grey - "I know you (Fifty shades of grey)"
7. Daft Punk - "The game of love"
8. Alicia Keys - "Fallin'"
9. Conor Maynard - "Never forget you"
10. Vaults - "Mend this love"
11. Lostboycrow - "Talk back to me"
12. Joy Williams - "We can never go back (formerly of 'The Civil Wars')"
13. Marcus Marr & Chet Faker - "The trouble with us"
14. Emancipator - "Seven Seas (feat. Madelyn Grant)"
15. Pharrell Williams - "Just a cloud away"
16. Seven Lions - "Keep it close (feat. Kerli)"
17. John Paul White - "Holiday (formerly of 'The Civil Wars')"
18. London Grammar - "Darling are you gonna leave me"

Joy Williams and John Paul White were wonderful as "The Civil Wars"... and, then they broke up... I liked them as one better than as two... still, I posted a song from their new albums...

I got turned on to Madelyn Grant's voice somehow... Then, I went to her FB page and told her how much I liked her music. She sent me a message thanking me. We chatted briefly... She will be performing in the northern Michigan area this month. I posted on my FB page, but, the distance is too far for me to go see her play. She said she would try to make it to Texas... One can only hope...

I hope you like these songs... I've used them in my responses to your blogs... enjoy my little pretties...

I enjoy reading your monthly play lists even if I don't know the songs but I have a challenge for you. Several of your readers have mentioned being classic rock listeners, as am I, so what would be your classic rock play list? Say top 20 songs? You're the one who challenged me to write a story about random topics once so I feel the return challenged is reasonable. What say ye?

Hi 2tt...

thanks for your comments...

I accept your challenge...

As you have accepted mine in the past... and, you exceeded my expectations on that wonderfully written blog...

I shall post a top 20 "classic song list, with no restrictions on them as far as decade goes... However, the list will mean that they all are top 20 songs... because I don't see how I could post the greatest song of all time, because I have changed during the years where some songs now are more heartfelt to me than they were years ago... and, my music evaluation has been refined or tainted by many years of listening to newer music...

I hope that that is ok...

If not, please provide me with additional parameters...

It will take me a couple of days to put out this list... I like to take my time with everything...

BTW, that's a good challenge... and could spark debate by some on the site...

thanks again, for your visit...

Have a happy labor day tomorrow!

Another great mix of songs and artists.
I knew about your 2 interesting stories from what you had shared with me before.
I like the suggestion of seeing what you compile as your Top 20 Classic Rock Playlist. I just hope that the renewed focus on sharing your playlists won't deter you from continuing your other blog writings, i.e. the continuing adventures of Dreamboy and Azhar.
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!

Hi sexyldy1000.

thanks for your comments about this blog and my 'yet to come episode of Dreamboy and Azhar'... I have been a little tardy with that one... I need to put another one out... you are right... And, I will put another episode out soon...

As for this February song list, you are also correct... as I had shared those stories before, but, in a different context... I thank you for remembering as you have been faithful in reading and commenting on my blogs...

Might I remind you that it has been quite some time since you have blessed us with a blog or two... just sayin'... "Quid pro Quo"... I've not been able to post lyrics to your blogs... and, would like to find the "right song lyrics" for them...

I will enjoy my day off tomorrow...

thanks again...

Hi zandigal.

thanks for reading and commenting on my February song list.

Good thing you didn't wager on those two groups...

I'm glad that you liked this list... I posted some others from this year... Normally, when bloggers post, I will read and post song lyrics... of course, that's if they read and post on my blogs...

I was turned on to Daft Punk with the 'Tron' movies... and, have enjoyed many of their songs... What's interesting about that, is that awhile back I posted about my experience at the Jeff Bridges & the Abiders concert I went to a couple of years ago. Jeff Bridges starred in the "Tron" movies and Daft Punk did the soundtracks. Jeff also got an Oscar for his role in "Crazy Heart", hence he began touring with the Abiders. I caught him at the Granada theater in Dallas... and, in a quiet moment, I yelled out: "Tron rules"... and, he started laughing...

that was a great experience of my passion for movies, books, singers...

thanks again, for your post...

have a great week!

sometimes, all you have to do is ask... just sayin'...
