Be Polite, Say Hello in the Chat Room

I went into the PNW chat room tonight. 20 people in the room. I said good evening everyone. Do you know how many said hello?

 Some are too busy chatting on IM and not paying attention to the room, others have probably just not logged off and still show as being in the room, and as for those chatting? Well, they're just rude I guess.

But, having said all that, you can't force people to talk to you. So when that happens again? Leave and find a room where you'll be acknowledged and appreciated

 Social graces are sadly missing from some folks vocabulary as
you well know here...I've had that happen to me a few times here
when everyone in the room is caught up in their own little clique.

 The chat rooms become cliques where no one else is welcomed. Be glad you aren't locked into a clique without a mind of your own. I'd say Hi to ya.

 It's been ages since I've visited the PNW chat room, but like others have said, it seemed like there were cliques of people in there with conversations going on between the mini groups. It was hard to follow each and every conversation going on and hard to try and get involved without feeling like you were butting in. Not a lot of general conversation going on between the whole room. A shame no one at least acknowledged you and your greetings.
