My kingdom for a horse is Shakespeare … one of the Richards We got an adjustable bed frame so we can sit up in bed. I remember debating whether or not these things were really worth it. Now I don't know how we'd live without it. I've become snobbish about it … "Beds that only lay flat?!? … my dear, how quaint!" But they're beyond heavy and require movers to come in and install them for you. And getting it up narrow stairs would be twice the problem you have now.

Aww, shit, girl! That sounds like a terrible way to spend a weekend! Hubby and I have issues about beds - Waterbed - it worked for both of us. Pillowtop - I loved/he hated Sleep Number - He loved/I hated Purple Gel - He loves/I hate I hope you get this all figured out. You need good sleep! Have a great day, and be nice to one another.

My ex and I went through the exact same thing 25+ years ago!! Trying to get a queen box spring up some little stairs to our attic bedroom. Ended up finding a "split box spring" and making it work but gawdDAMMMM was that a pain! Now I have one of those foam mattresses that come in a box the size of a small fishtank and expands to become king size in a few hours!

So sorry hun to hear about all your issues with your bed. That really does suck measurements are so important especially when you have a staircase, dealt with that shit for years. So now I don't live in any more places that are upstairs downstairs. As we are getting to old for that stuff, we had a hard time getting our queen bed into our apartment we have now but thank god the delivery guys did it for us. I hope you get your platform bed soon so you don't have to sleep on your new mattress on the floor. I hope the rest of your week goes smoothly..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

all my beds are platform beds, and i will never go back to a box spring...since they come in pieces, it's super easy to set up...it's pretty durable, and you can store all kind of stuff under the bed...but when they get old, it squeak...i know it's a faint sound, but when you are busy having sex...kinda annoying...yah...that's the downside of it.... so you never told me why you needed the new bed??? guessing sex wasn't the issue???

What a pain! Glad you have your son to help you at least. This whole conversation is making me worry a bit about my bed frame - since I put the thing together INSIDE my bedroom, who knows what will happen when it's time to move? 🤷🏻♀️

Girl.. I have been through this same thing many times over the years, I now expect it to happen; with that in mind it makes the issue more bearable.. The site hates most of us, sometimes it takes 3-6 hours for a post to show up on the list. This has been a problem for several months, no rhyme or reason as to why it is this way, I guess the site just needed another method to annoy it patrons Just be comfy, at least you didn't have to go to the Hilton for a few days.... Air mattress. They come in several sizes and they're also available in the much taller models than the old ones that were just 3 or 4 inches tall. And they fit in tight places. lol Pagan  Hmmmm....I know I left that wand around here somewhere!

Damn, you should have gotten an air mattress... Carry it in in a small box plug in the pump and watch it fill up. Maybe fill it with helium so you can levitate while you sleep... Just be sure to put it on a leash so you don't drift out the window in the middle of the night. Or you could use hydrogen...but I seem to remember that being some kind of problem before.. "Oh the humanity"... Vive La Difference

I did set aside the assembly instructions, so theoretically I could just do them in reverse and disassemble it. It was kind of a a cheapo frame though, not sure it would survive another round of disassembly and assembly.
