Cupid Settings

I have my cupid settings as a single female looking for male species. This is exactly what I'm looking for on this site. Why is my "Member Activity" page filled with gay men and couples???? This is not my setting, not what I want to see or have any interest in.

Is anyone else having this problem? My "who's online" shows single men (mostly) but the activity is all stuff I could care to see.

Thank you.

I don't think all the filters are applied equally for the different sections of the site.

For example, on my home page in the "Who's Online" section, the profiles shown fit my Cupid settings completely.

But in the Hottest [whatever] section, the ages and gender match but many of the profiles I click through to are of women only interested in other women or a race I'm not a member of etc. And, even though the filter list is displayed to the left of the profile thumbnails, changing the filter settings seems to accomplish nothing.

I don't know if actual thought was put in to how much one's settings apply to the different sections or if they just sort of organically set up filters based on what were available at the time the given section was first created.

Who knows. All I know is that it can be aggravating to some degree and definitely a waste of time much more so than it need be.

Thank you all for your responses. Senior Sizzle should keep us on the sites we sign up for instead of throwing us to the wolves...but then again, I guess that's how they make it look like they have more members.
