Lock me up I got an email this morning in one of my personal off site accounts. The email quoted part of email name and part of password I use on sites I dont want to share any information with. I do keep anonymous email accounts for those less then trustworthy web sites I some times visit. The email stated they had my email address and password along with all my face book, messenger and email contacts. It stated I had visited a porn site and that they had that evidence as well as evidence of my cam. They threatened to let all my contacts know that I visited a porn site and release my cam recordings and web sites visited unless I paid $988 in bitcoin ( weird amount). It's hilarious because I dont care if anyone knows that I visited a porn site. Its not illegal, if it is lock me up now. As for having me on cam, never been there, never done that and my cam is disabled. I can see why some people might be worried about receiving this type of email. It is concerning that they have part of my password. Having said that, the day I pay $988 because I visited a porn site is a cold day in hell. Who has bail money |

yes it is very odd it was 998 dollars in bitcoin, I was certain I asked for those lace panties...........must have been a typo

Yes I'd like you locked up.... But not so's you'd need bail... Maybe some penance though  If they got your password, prob the dodgy site itself trying to put the squeeze on.... Don't blame them, I'd like to put the squeeze on you too  Damn, there is something wrong with me today!!!  Mxxx

This sort of cyber blackmail has already led to the suicide of some people and is big business. I wish the police would take it seriously but they don't, sadly. Call me old-school, but its metal cuffs or fabric backed wrist and ankle cuffs, please!

I received 2 similar messages back in November. It also threatened to have infected my computer which would get disabled if I didn't comply. They were clever to ghost it to make it appear to be coming from my own email account. Although I have a tech background, I didn't want to just fluff it off despite my security software identifying it as 'junk mail'. I did follow up with my service provider and some wiser tech friends. All assured me it was a scam and to disregard.

Yep, that is the current scam going around...they hope you sign in to the account through their servers...once they have the id cookies they can take over the accounts... Porn blackmail...oh my...right who cares that we watch porn.....that would be fun to do together...what are you genres? I also use a variety of similar e-mail accounts for such activities. If you had a bit coin account they could clean it out after you had visited the site.

I've had to help a couple of co-workers unlock their home computers which had a fake FBI screen saying they owed 200 dollars in fines for downloading copyright material. Traced it back to India. I really dislike those cretins.

Well, Naughty... I've never had anything of my own hi-jacked. But, I have had scams presented to me. I just copy all the info (eMail header info, eMails, and all else) and call the FBI Fraud Line--it's listed online. Then I inform the scammers that the FBI is in receipt of their scam materials. The number of issues for me have declined by about 97.84% over the years... since I started turning everything over to the FBI. The interesting thing about peeps that think they're such freaking geniuses (by utilizing BitCoin as a means of payment) are about the dumbest fuckers on the planet. Just because a BitCoin ain't traceable, ya gotta get the BitCoin moved from point A to point B... and there has to be some amount of communication OUTSIDE of the block-chain envelope in order to accomplish that. VOILA!!! An electronic trail DOES exist. Stupid peeps, indeed. BitCoin--from $0 to $19,000+... and then back to $4,000. Who in their right mind would trade phony FED $ for even phonier crypto currencies anyway??? Solar... BTW: That is about the finest, roundest ass I've ever seen! So, if ya really, really need $988... BTW#2: I'm not implying a damned thing either.

This might work on a married person. I have an alternative email account for the adult sites as well as dating sites, too. It also come in handy for saving pics, I just email myself.
