Late Night, Friday Night

So I am sitting here drinking a beer, a Narragansett Dels Shandy. great brew I can't recommend it enough! Just got off work and looking through all the people who viewed me. A few local some way out of state, out of country, one man, and another couple who said they weren't interested. So why are you looking? Having second thoughts. I am up waiting, waiting for a , off to a senior prom. do you remember your senior prom? I don't. I didn't go. no GF at that time. But I went to the party for all the people(losers) who didn't go top the prom. Not really losers, just the ones in between relationships. Long time ago, but I remember it well. See the night before graduation, the night after "class day" we were all at a party at my cousin's house, supervised by parents. At that time there was no drinking allowed, period. This was when adults were responsible for their . What people did outside of the party I do not know, but I did not witness anything illegal. So me, riding shot gun in a Cadillac Eldorado, with two other guys were heading north, then south doing about 50 on a city street. Nothing like big American V8s. We met another car, from the same party, at an intersection, still doing 50. The other car, I believe was a Chevelle SS, more American muscle.
It did not end well. The Cadillac met the Chevelle, nose first, in the passenger door, still doing 50. Riding shotgun, I got to see this accident unfold in slow-motion, all the time thinking " the Chevelle will beat us through the intersection"
NOT!
Cars spin around, metal crashes, I lose my glasses and cannot see. People are out on the sidewalk screaming at as to whose fault it was. Me, miraculously I am not hurt. Seatbelt? I don't remember. But I am waking around this T-Bone collection of American steel and the girl who was riding passenger in the Chevelle, is now in the back seat. The passenger door, I think it is now in the drivers seat. So I see this girl, unconscious, bleeding, not moving, and I think," She could choke on her tongue. I must clear her airway so she can breath."
I climb in and open her mouth and try to hold her tongue down. But you know, she didn't have any teeth,
Ambulances, police, hospital, calling my parents, it all was a blur.
My has just come home safely from his prom. He went stag, drove himself there and returned home.
The girl in the Chevelle, she did not return home. Life can be very fleeting.

This may not be the proper time or place, but this is my space and I just wanted to share. Have a great night. hope your are safe.
