Easter is for Politics...Easter is for Politics
Easter comes
of death and resurrection for some
for others chocolate fertility symbols
and for others a holiday
to be spent trying not to consider
how work is progressing
perhaps to catch up upon
Washington intrigues
in and out of the sheets
the porn stars and reality TV contestants
the lazy susan spinning condiments
of the Presidential advisers and cabinet
each being better suited than the last
with impeccable character and
the perfect credentials to make change
soon changed themselves
soiled and stinking leave
character shredded
apologists for a man
who sounds less sincere
less<b> engaged </font></b>in truth
than a porn star
than an adult movie actor
and the movies in which she acts
have a better developed ript
than the policies and organisation
of the current presidential staff
so enjoy Easter
eat eggs and pray
enjoy a relaxing day
and think of 2000 past
when no immediate communication
America undiovered by Europeans
all the world moving slowly
learning slowly how to live together
and now elected a tin pot dictator
who would pull down the temple
of branches of government
upon his own strongly coiffured head
to prove he is right and knows much better
than all those who have g before him.
