Ode to Sweat....

Ode to Sweat.... Ode to Sweat Sweat across my brow forms as my pores their role performs a wayward drop spirals falling down splashes and evaporates on burning ground Sun is bright and high and wind is hot this heat unrelenting will not stop and yet to bicycle pedals I apply my self to try and remove this stomach shelf so much easier to put on this damned weight removing not as simple as sending off as freight instead my body work as I turn a perspiring red burnish the wheels turn only from the energy I furnish each low hill calls on new reserves for steeper hills no energy can I conserve learning which gears need be set for what and getting wrong on mid hill I sometimes stop breathing hard grasping air from day's furnace breath dying figuratively for a pause a drink and rest and then I press my foot down once more move the bicycle across the forest floor each pedal in rhythm lifting and falling as to my Adonis heart exercise is calling no Narcissus I would claim to be I just seek a fitter tauter leaner me even as Summer Sun beats me down and sweat gathers heavy on my frown the clothes I wear dampen with sweat as in the heat directions I almost forget a blur is all this heated world around as this exercise torture most un-profound character building to sweat you might state but for my character it does not rate self flagellation seems a useless tool when world will freely practice on every fool the world is hot and not all due to climate change is of my own doing as this body I seek to change only mad dogs and Englishmen in the noon day sun and yet I am here bicycling as I really hate to run. very interesting might try this next time I ride my bike perhaps once I ride my bicycle long enough I shall reach a state of grace where sweating does not occur...however as it is Summer here, and the current temperature somewhere around 30c, I think the environment will soon put paid to that.... I usually find the more exercise I do, over a long period, more cleanly and freely I sweat, as the body decides for maximum exertion it needs to have in place maximum cooling.
