normality of day
two hot drinks have to pay
the cafe table at which we sit
we chat for a bit
sharing pieces of who we are
nothing new or too<b> bizarre

and sense you can guess
our words a scene plot
our glances growing hot
a leg against a leg brushes
blood hot through body rushes
hands on table top clasp
thoughts would you gasp
call out to god above
entwined in passionate love
do you lose all self control
take on some other role
is the bed a wild place
or slow performance on edge of grace
we both lean forward
this first kiss over table awkward
yet the whisper in the air
scents I smell in your hair
the entire day is of promise full
the smiles we share deceptively cool
for underneath our passions stir
and new words seem to purr
ready now for what next comes
