The Perfect Pickup Bait  Today there was a group of young nurses observing where I work and it reaffirmed something I've known and used since college, a pencil and sketchbook are catnip to women. What happened to today was I was preparing to teach my art class and so I had out the sketchbook, pencils and some drawings and before many minutes had passed I had eight young women standing around me. Back in college I used to carry a sketchbook and pencil to parties or around<b> campus. </font></b>I would find a quite spot, sit down, begin to draw, and in under a half hour women would start trailing over. The only drawback is it can be hard to isolate one woman and pick her up when half a dozen are crowded around you. Okay, you have to have some talent. It you are drawing stick figures you aren't going to hold their attention long, but it doesn't take that much talent. Of course today twenty something nurses were not interested in me in any useful way. but it is flattering at my age to have eight attractive ladies ignoring forty other people for me for an extended period. So guys, get you a sketchbook and start learning how to draw. It works anywhere,, the beach, poolside, in the park, and of course at parties and breaks ice faster than a blow torch. Someone is inevitably going to ask if you do nudes turning the conversation in a useful direction. It does help if you love drawing and would be doing it anyway, but the only other technique anywhere near it is playing a guitar (its hard to haul a piano to the beach). It may seem counterintuitive, but talent can outweigh looks and money. The skinny wimp artist can walk away with the prettiest girl on<b> campus </font></b>while the football star stands there clueless. I'm not sure if it is basic vanity, your creativity, talents rarity, or some other element I haven't defined, but this works. You still need a certain amount of charm, wit, and insight to exploit the advantage, but if a sixty year old bald widower can attract eight attractive women forty years younger and hold their attention for an hour or two younger and more eligible guys ought to have a shot. I'm not viewing women as targets, objects, or anything less than individuals with different needs and wants, but like most men I need all the help I can get, and if a pencil and sketchbook will do the job I am not going to complain. I knew talent would eventually have some actual use.  Lust brings you together, love keeps you there, sex keeps the mechanism lubricated.  |

I agree, and I'll grant I was the football player too, but if only to demonstrate it worked; my first wife was a dancer at Le Crazy Horse Saloon in Paris, my second a runway model, and my third a Miss Oklahoma contestant. I've been in relationships with a Playboy bunny, a future Miss America, and an adult film actress and I'm at best passable in looks. I kept them with other talents, but the sketchpad and pencil helped get them to the point they could appreciate the other skills. Whatever works I'm not going to question too deeply. Lust brings you together, love keeps you there, sex keeps the mechanism lubricated.
