The Rise of "pay for play"

The Rise of "pay for play"

So with places like Craigslist and backpage being taken down I've noticed a rise of the " for " on places like this and even other dating apps. Tinder, Grindr, Plenty of Fish and even here.

Now I know that the sex work is toted as being the "oldest profession" but I feel like it is harming the community. I dont judge those that do it, its a way of life, and the fact that its illegal is stupid to say the least. But when I have people messaging me assuming I charge, or asking if I charge I start to get a little worried.

Now yes, part of me would love to get to have sex but I'm talking more of the adult entertainers, porn style of to get fucked kind of situation. I know this is more of a fantasy than anything else for myself but i still like to dream of the day I could get to have sex lol.

As for those that are making a living with it. Yes I understand that the places to list are limited now, that you're running out of places to post about your services but I feel that if you're going to do it you should at least make something known. For example put something like "pro" in your profile, or something granted I'm sure that advertising on places will get you banned which isn't fair.

I guess what i'm saying is that its time for a change. The days of outlawing, or shaming people for sex work needs to end. There needs to be a safe place to advertise the services, or at the very least be able to say that you're a "pro" without the fear of getting banned or reported for something.

In the long run I am not a pro, i will never be a pro, i will never charge someone for anything i want to do or they want to do to me.

Sorry for a fairly incoherent rant but I hope you all have a wonderful day

there are a lot of hookers on here , just look at all the single female profiles , looking for generous men or looking for roses ( money ), wish they would all just leave

since the beginning of time humans have been shaming humans. banning humans, enslaving humans ...
so why do you expect prostitutes, male, or female to be excluded from man's inhumanity to man?
the one part of your rant that is so confusing to me would be that if you are not a pay for play kind of guy (and i am infuring that you are), then why would your blog be all about this sector should be given more freedom?

there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

It could be very well be a reality so long as those being paid
follow a regimen of regular testing and licensing fees and follow
guidelines set forth by those who are probably already clients in
the municipalities in which they serve.
So you probably can see why it was never made legal!

Using more than all the road!

Sex work is legal in some counties of Nevada, and in most of Europe and parts of Asia.

Here the key word is generous.

I feel it may be legalized in the future. In some places in Nevada it is already, just needs to be registered and licensed and regularly tested and taxed. it would certainly provide income for the states. Its a business, and has been for eons. Im in Massachusetts and marijuana recreationally is now legit and has already brought in huge revenue for the state. The business will never stop, so why not legalize, regulate and receive income from it, is my view.~~

Like panhandling on street corners, sex workers plying their trade in this community would evaporate....if it didn't pay. But it does pay and hence its persistent (and metastasizing?) presence (menace?) in our interactions.

Personally, I'm amused and occasionally flattered. That flirt that arrives in my Activity Summary at 1:30 AM from 3,057 miles away? It's unlikely someone under the influence of amortentia; so I'm going with a 72-year-old destitute granny working in a Chinese cyber-boiler room, hoping to convince me to *follow* her to spicegirls.com, where she can *share* more pix and enlightening conversation with me.

I concur that legalization would bring sea-change in the market dynamics for sex work. However, I also believe that these changes would not be anything close to what would be (reasonably) expected and will- for some- make the *cure* worse than the *disease*. As a libertarian in my social views, I very much favor legalization of all activities between consenting adults. I'm simply sounding a cautionary note in regards to getting what you ask for.

As far as getting propositioned to play-for-pay by other members of this community: welcome to the world we created for our women. This is absolutely no fault of sex workers. I would look at the other side of these transactions to find the *root evil*.
