Strangers in Paradise
Strangers in Paradise Over the years we have met on this site and the sister site alt.com many couples. We have made very good friendships with other members from England, Holland, Canada, USA and of course Australia. All unfortunately tell the same story. For almost every twenty or so couples that they have interacted with on these sites, exchanging many emails, photos, and possibly one couple turns out to be the genuine article. When the chips are down and a place to meet is arranged, be it for coffee, lunch or a stroll in the park, the invited guests then drop off the radar. We recently met at their request, what appeared to be a most genuine couple some six times. At our last encounter we all kissed and cuddled before they departed and could not thank us enough for the great time that they had in our company claiming we would all meet up again the next week-end. Next day they had changed their email address, resigned from this site, removed us from their friends list and changed their phone number. Never heard from them again! Do these encounters happen to you? |

It is disappointing that people behave in what I consider to be a rude manner to say the least! In such scenarios one must remind self it isn’t the person that has been shelved with the problem, it is the one whom has cowardly turned their backs on them without explanation.

i , as a single man have seen this on many occaisions. On trying to play with couples, quite often the "couple" turn out to be a single man or indeed a married man whose partner has no idea about this site. It is a tool for tools to be on here to waste other peoples time. On other occaisions, where there is indeed a genuine couple, you go through all the previews and texts and emails,,,,,,,,,,only for them to make a definite time for a catch up and to leave you there with no explanation, no manners in at least telling you that they were not turning up. Just the common decency of a text would go a long way. If we can cater for 1 in ten perhaps being genuine, I think that would be a fair barometer.
