Although I understand the inference of the metaphor, I find it within fault. It might be my perspective or belief alone, but life never ends. Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, it merely changes, much like our perceptions. As to being forgotten, what we share within this life, and any value we place upon it, is a constant within that sharing, and it is perpetuated within us. Perhaps, our lives are every bit as hollow and empty, as they are decadent and fulfilling. It's all relative to our individual perception and what is shared.
