It certainly makes one think,........I’ve notice some bloggers have started disappearing as of late too,........I certainly can’t blame them,........This site seems to be Circling the Drain for awhile now,.......And you know how that goes,........Each circle gets a bit smaller, and a little more smaller until finally You go Completely Down the Drain,.......... As far as *the blog wars* go, I don't really pay much attention to it/them. Some of the people I follow have mentioned being cyber bullied, and that's sad. Others have said in reply to "grow a thicker skin/grow up/get over it"... whatever. Oi...  Haters are going to hate, and you aren't (and can't) going to please everyone at the same time. That's human nature and life, and it sucks sometimes. I feel that people only have power over you if YOU give it freely to THEM. If they don't know YOU on a more personal level (like a best friend would), what they say to you or about you (especially online) is only their perception of you, not who you TRULY are. Sometimes the old adage of "less history, more mystery" is better. Data bytes on a computer screen are a poor substitute for real human interaction, and things can be lost in interpretation and misconstrued, taken out of context. We all know this, and all are subjected to it. That all said… we're all here for the same purpose: to meet someone in hopes of sharing a bit of our life with, if only for a short time. Or to "meet someone" online in the hopes of maybe meeting face-to-face in the future. Yes, I'm casting my gaze in YOUR direction, BP.    "Be who you are and say what you feel. ::meh:: I'm not too worried about my gold status right now. I created an icebreaker that gave me "free gold" to begin with, and every time I tweak that icebreaker a bit, the expiration date on it extends a little more. It's mentioned somewhere on the site that if you're an active member (however they deem that to be), you can "get a free gold status by creating an icebreaker". Though I wonder if that only applies to female members, since there are so few of us here in general...  You'd think, in all "fairness", that it would apply to male members too. I haven't received any notice personally that *my free gold* will be included in this rumored purge, but I also don't expect anything until that expiration date. Time will tell, I'm sure. Anecdotally I know of at least one person who quit because of the missing word glitches. I suppose I should start working on saving off my good posts before the whole site goes poof. I learned my lesson after losing several years worth of blog posts on Myspace, lol.
