Why are Doctor's so fucking rude? So, here it is the 5th of December, it's been cold but not nasty, and we have so far avoided a lot of rain and that other un-named white and fluffy percipetation. This weekend is supposed to be somewhat sunny and a little warmer, so I'm looking forward to it. I have been sequestered away in hospital for the last week or so, enduring pain, being wrenched and twisted, and putting up with a croaker with a piss poor attitude, the bedside manner of a wart hog and the breath of a water buffalo who has been dead for 6 months...lol... and it seemed to progressively get worse every damn day ! I have been having major issues for the last year with my back, severe, almost debilitating pain at times, and sometimes not a lot of pain, but real weakness in my lower spine and hips and numbness in my neck and right shoulder. So, off to the specialist my GP says, then after Xray's, ultra sounds and finally the torture of a full body MRI ( I'm extraordinarily claustophobic ), they decided to send me to a better specialist, one who I am sure got his manners from Patton, his bedside manner from Joseph Mengel, and his passion for pain from either deSade or Torquemada ( he of Spanish inquisition fame ). I came out of this whole thing with more bruises than I ever got playing hockey, lacrosse,football, or full contact ,1 on 1 bar brawling, and with a greater respect for anyone who is truly into and really likes receiving pain, because this croaker was a full on sadist, a true masochist's delight. On top of that, I abso-fucking-lutely hate hospital food, only had 2 decent meals the whole time I was in the hospital and even the food from downstairs in the food court was questionable most of the time. There was GOOD coffee however ( thanks Tim...lol ) and I guess losing 13 lbs is a reward for it all. The cost for WiFi was ridiculous, and only because I had a window bed did I get any kind of time on here at all ( a big thanks to the City of Toronto open net system ) Unfortunately , the signal was weak most of the time and non existant some time, so all in all, I got a lot of use out of my MP3 and my stored up movie collection. Basically, just a plain shitty time.....but I'm home now, slowly recovering, and having found out that I have many degenerative disc's, a couple of crushed or prolapsed vertabrae, and ,superise, superise,superise, what appears to be an ancient , never diagnosed ,broken neck ( I know, who knew you could walk around with one, let alone not know about it ), but as I said, a lot of full contact sports, 2 motorcycle accidents and a couple of<b> teenage </font></b>car wrecks and falls off of BIIIGGGG rocks into shallow rivers will do it to ya...lmao. Any way, it's only getting better ( I hope ) from here and having to lose 40 or so pounds will make me a whole new me, 230 instead of 275 or 280 that I am now ( down the 13 I already lost ) and I'll be under what I was as a defensive lineman or as a goalie. I'm home, writing again,still have the bad knee's to deal with as well, and have an idea for a book about a Doctor who is a surgeon by day and a dominatrix by night....who know;s, it could work.......anyway,thanks for letting me ramble and I'll be around soon.......cya all !

I'm glad they worked out what the issue was rather than diagnosing you with fibromyalgia and handing you pills. Doctors often use that as a dismissive disease when they can't find anything easily to pin it on and think that you're just drug seeking.
