Today is a prime bacon day. It is always bacon day to me. As a food item it is only second to coffee and cookies are a distant 3rd. So by the power that I have assumed, I here by suspend of the bad stuff contained in bacon for today. I mean pork bacon, not that "wannabe" turkey stuff. Today, this is a quilt free zone, you can do, or admit anything bacon related! Do you like bacon? The flavor, the smell, the taste? And one very critical question ,,, soft or hard (the bacon of course)? Do you have a favorite "style" of bacon? In my extensive research, I have noticed that many countries have their own "style / cut of bacon. So lets celebrate bacon!!! One of life's guilty pleasures

 About 2 years ago, we discovered cottage bacon, the pork shoulder roast sliced and cured. It has more lean than side pork bacon. I still wonder were all the bacon from the hogs we raised ended up as it was not found in the grocery store then or now. I am talking 70 percent lean. I know as we had at least one hog a year butchered, and that was the ratio of lean in the bacon from our hogs. I still prefer pork over beef.

 Good morning, love me some bacon too, especially the hickory smoked bacon, and apple wood bacon. I hope you get to enjoy your bacon today, as it's not on my menu today but maybe tomorrow.. I hope you have a great Saturday..

 my family is hard to buy for. one year i got my brother bacon of the mo club! he really liked it. but now he's not eating bacon much.

i love bacon. it's not something i have at home a lot solo. but now i have a housemate. i should but this on today's shopping list! TY!

 I always have bacon on the freezer just in case I have " an attack". One of my friends ordered loaded baked potato soup and it had BACON on the top- lots of crispy chunks. I tend to like it toward the crisp side and Applewood smoked is my favorite except for the one the local farmer does from his own live stock
