** Another rant ððŧ  . Cell phones seem to be trying to take over the "world". I can remember as a that we never dreamt of all the "powers" these phones would or could have. I must be caught in the past. A couple weeks ago I went to replace my "relatively smart " phone. What a nightmare, I told him that the only ancillary thing I wanted was voice mail and text. NOTHING! Else. After 5 minutes of discussion, I finally asked him if he had a hearing problem. I do see folks completely into their phones. What part of life are the phones replacing? Are you really into these "new" phones? If you are, what is your favorite "App" ? Have you had any bloopers. Have you seen any? I vote for going back to the simple flip phones!          |

I will admit, I love my phone, and I spend too much damn time on it. Fave app - I'm a musician, so I love my recording apps, and my Tuner/Metronome. Oh!! And the Google App with all the pics of my grandson. Love that! Nope. No flip phone for me. Have a great day, and be nice to one another.

I admit that I am slowly slipping towards using them more. But I won't use it while driving or walking!

I'm a smart phone user. I download audio books that I listen to while I drive, download music, video chat with my kids and grandkids. I use G o o g l e a lot to look things up..same as I do on the computer. Text or FB seem to be the fastest way to get in touch with my kids...seems the younger generation never answers their phones. why cant people actually make a decent comment on a persons blog post..thats my rant...i dont have any bloopers and i dont take my phone to bed with me, i turn it off every night so it will not disturb my sleep..If i go out driving of course i take it with..for safetys sake giving my disability ..and if i break down..i have no attachment to my ear that holds a cell phone..and when i am out with someone maybe on a date it stays in my vehicle...I am responsibly and morally adept..

Still one of the few out there without a smartphone, how did "our" generation become so dependent on them? Do we really need to be connected twenty-four seven?

I do not have a smart phone. I don't need (or want) an internet umbilicus. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Agree they sure are. I am using my more as well. I see people using them instead of their computers as well. Some server provider are changing their wifi access now so parents can turn off it they want too. Not during the dinner time or after supper time as an example. Hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

when I finally got talked into a cell phone it was mainly cause then I didn't wake the house with midnight booty calls ... now I don't do most of the apps but I find it doing more and more and cortana is actually great or the voice to text

Happy Friday Pal, and good for you I am very happy you did this rant about cell phones because it seems some people have them glued to their damn hands and ears. So sad, people just don't sit down and talk to each other anymore. I miss that so very much. And those damn apps I HATE THEM!!! I hope you have a great start to your weekend.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
