Oh, the Myriad of Problems with A*F*F The functionality of this site has finally gone to places unknown! OK, so I drop from Gold membership to Standard at the end of Sept. And what happens with A*F*F next? They institute a policy of making standard members "pay" (either cash, or "points") to read or send emails!!!! And that applies for already existing, long running conversations, as well as new ones!!!! Well and good, I can live with that, for the moment, I had lots of points. Next, they put up a stupid ding<b> dong </font></b>"Notification" bar that covers the entire top of the screen, blocking out all the important links. Then, they "apparently" stopped notifying standard members that they even had new emails!!! Following that, as of Oct 19th, all blog posts with photos now appear to have said photos greyed out as one reads the post, but viewable by left-clicking on them, which opens a separate side window. This is independent of the content filter function, since it occurs even when the "everything" setting is active. (I wonder if this is a precursor to a new policy where we will have to "pay" to view individual blog post photos now?) Lastly, I went to the support blog, and left a comment on all this. After 24hrs, I could not view my own comment; it went into the nether-sphere!!!! Is this yet another new policy of A*F*F, where "site support" is provided to paying members only? Way back in May of this year, this site got hacked. In August, the Mashley Adison site was hacked, and personal data was released. During the course of the investigation into the Mashley Adison event, it was revealed to the public, how that site's business model functioned. It operated by charging males money to view profiles and read and/or respond to emails. The big catch here? The investigation showed the number of females on Mashley Adison were 90-95% "fake" profiles!!!! They were created by a staff of a few dozen females who were hired by MA!!! These females were paid to create 1,000's of profiles and send out even 1,000's more emails, for the express purpose of coercing males to open and respond to said emails! With this knowledge of how Mashley Adison operated now being public, does A*F*F truly believe they can now follow suit? Oh!!! WAIT!!!! A*F*F has gone one better than MA!!!! They will have their female members generate the flood of emails for them... via the "new" AMBASSADOR function, designed to make sure you get out those emails to greet those new victims...I mean new members!!!!!! And A*F*F won't have to pay anyone a single penny to generate this revenue source!!!!! Better question to ask: if A*F*F starts a pay-per-view of blog posts photos policy, how do we feel about all that revenue being generated for A*F*F, from the fruits of our labors!!! After all, it IS our intellectual creativity being used! Our pic, our idea, our posing, our lighting, our cropping, , our time. And we don't even get royalties from the money they might make from people viewing our work??? Ladies and Gentlemen, how do you feel about being used this way by A*F*F? And Lades, in the future, don't be surprised or alarmed if the first few lines of any emails you receive will read something to the effect of: "Are you real? If so, do you have an off-site contact means?" We'll see how long this post stays up! |

You know how I feel about their Ambassador Tasks and their ridiculously stupid, totally idiotic email policies, the images, and the Activity Notifications window. I think there shoud be a class action law suit with their name on it. Never ignore those who care for you you will have lost diamonds while you were collecting stones

To be honest, I should NEVER be surprised by the dirty tactics this site uses - as they continually pursue squeezing every possible $ out of unsuspecting members. I can think of no good reason why they are "graying out" photos in posts. I noticed on a top female bloggers most recent post, you could see 2 out of 10 of her images. And they also temporarily deactivated her profile, as well as that of a well-respected male blogger who's main purpose here it to call the site-monkeys out, on their shenanigans. I RESENT being expected to send emails as an "ambassador", to members who cannot even read them. I resent their expectations that I will willingly "bait" male members in this way. Don't they have their own "bots" who serve that purpose? I can certainly see why so many long-time top bloggers are posting less frequently - as they are feeling just as jaded and cynical as I am. Their tactics are disgusting, embarrassing, and shameful. But, that's nothing new, is it?
