Is this the DMV of Adult Social Networks?

I am new here, but I’m let’s face it. For a man,establishing meaningful contacts with just a standard account is more difficult than with a premium account. Frankly, I’d get more exposure standing at the bottom of a freeway off ramp with a sign that says “Wanna F**K?”.

Since that’s too public, too crass and too limiting on what I'm here for (and cardboard brown is not my color) I decided to go with a premium account. It’s a commercial site; I get that and am willing to pay a fair price for a fair service. But I have apparently engaged with an organization whose desire to provide excellence in service is rivaled only by the DMV.

As I write this my payment to<b> upgrade </font></b>has been gone from my bank account for 2 full days, but I’ve been told to “allow 7-14 days for my order to fully process”. Translated that means my premium account features probably won’t be active until after labor day. Pretty amazing for a company that can tell me that Barbi497 winked at me 27 seconds ago.

Ok, partly my fault. I did choose to use the ACH payment method instead of a credit card and I did expect some delay, but I don’t think I missed any warning that states “We will debit your bank account and hold your payment unapplied for up to 2 weeks because our back end systems suck and all our money goes to flash and glamour to get you to fork your cash over for us to mishandle.”

Customer No-Service did apologize that I was unable to read those terms. (said in a tone that left no doubt he meant I was illiterate and wasn’t sorry at all) and said he’d email me a copy within 2 minutes. His planet obviously has a different time scale because I’m still waiting.

So rather than continue to be frustrated, brood and complain I’ll make the best of it. I’ll blog about my experience here, my thoughts, impressions and reach out to the community and get involved the best I can until I can fully utilize the site. Damn the bureaucracy! Let’s have some fun!

 Ah the dreaded 'Red Tape'!

While you wait for your check to clear, just hang out here in Blogville and enjoy the sites. We tend to be a cerebral bunch with a few notable exhibitionists thrown in for good measure- no doubt we can keep you occupied for a day or two .
When it comes to sex, I need a STRONG connection. Otherwise, the page just keeps buffering and takes FOREVER to load...
