WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR COUNTRY BANS FIREARMS

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR COUNTRY BANS OR RESTRICTS FIREARMS OWNERSHIP!!!

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929-1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1935, China established gun control. From 1948-1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1928 and 1938, Germany established gun control. From 1939-1945, 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1956, Cambodia established gun control. From 1975-1977, 1 million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1970, Uganda established gun control. From 1971-1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1964, Guatemala established gun control. From 1964-1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1997, Australia made it almost impossible to own a firearm. Since then, accidental gun deaths are 300% higher than the pre-1997 ban rate. The assault rate has increased 200% since the 1997 gun ban. From immediately after the ban was instituted in 1997 through 2002, the robbery and armed robbery rate was up 200% over the pre-ban rates. In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 171 percent.
In 1998, The UK made it almost impossible to own a firearm. Figures showed the number of crimes involving handguns had more than doubled since the post-Dublin massacre ban on the weapons, from 2,636 in 1997-1998 to 5,871. Gun crime has almost doubled since Labor came to power as a culture of extreme gang violence has taken hold.
The latest Government figures show that the total number of firearm offenses in England and Wales has increased from 5,209 in 1998/99 to 9,865 last year - a rise of 89 per cent.
In some parts of the country, the number of offences has increased more than five-fold.
In eighteen police areas, gun crime at least doubled.
The USA's murder rate ranks #108 in the world. The 107 countries ahead of the USA on that list, ALL BAN GUNS.

Play with the stats how ever you like, but it took a massacre at Port Arthur for the entire country to see that something needed to be done about guns here in Australia. Some people got upset about gun control, but the silent majority wanted action on gun control and the media and politicians made sure it happened. You can still own a gun here, but you need to have a valid reason, a licence [which can be revoked if you are unfit to own a gun], and a lockable gun safe to store it in, located in a secure location.

I KNOW that my family and I are still safer living in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia than just about anywhere else in the world.

Guns have NO Loyalty to you or your family or friends. You cant take back shooting someone, no matter how hard you may try.

Hugs and kisses and saying your sorry wont fix the damage they cause.

How many school or shopping mall or cinema massacres of innocent people [particularly children] are you gun toting Americans going to experience before you begin to see sense?

America may be the land of the Free, but its not home of the Brave.

Most of you are scared and gun toting because you are scared of your gun toting crazy neighbours.

Is that really a good way to live?

I think that might be an oversimplification, i.e. Guns banned = Catastrophic outcomes

The US government bears very little resemblance to the regimes referenced above nor is it controlled by an Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, Pol Pot or Josef Stalin. For genocide to occur, you usually need a ruthless dictator with limitless powers.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.

Can't argue a bit with you, your spot on !!!

but the boot-licking liberals in this country don't think it's right for the rest of us to own guns, and it happens time and time again, they are the first to cry when something happens to them.

Maybe we should outlaw, knives, baseball bats, tire irons, etc.
then see what happens.

I will not turn over my guns to anyone. We in the US have the right to bear arms and I am doing just that.
We all know it the person that does the killings no mater what form they use.
I would not use a knife unless I was caught without my 9mm or AR-15. I know something is going to happen and I want to have a decent chance. I have myself and my siblings to worry about and friends. Some have guns and some don't so I'll have to make sure they all know something about firing a weapon.
I have some friends that teach gun shooting and safety and are in my group.
I am so very glad I don't live in Australia where guns are outlawed. Lets all just pray that we don't need them
