Why request to chat in the first place

I had always been a gold member until the Ice Breaker program ended, but now I'm no longer looking to meet with anyone so it really isn't a big deal to be a standard member unable to view<b> profiles </font></b>or chat without it costing . Which brings me to my point: Why do members with no profile picture chat requests to standard members? Seriously, why, even if I was looking to possibly meet with the right person, why would I want to spend to answer a chat request from some faceless stranger? I guess the answer is you never know. No wonder guys are always asking if anyone has had any luck here. The no profile pic requesting to chat with a standard member would need a whole lot of luck to be successful.

Yes my profile pic happens to be faceless, however as I mentioned in the beginning, I am not looking to meet. In addition to not looking to meet I didn't initiate chats when I was open to meeting.

 50% have no pic at all... So there is a good chance you will get hit on... I always reply if their localish.. you never know might be a bronze Adonis behind the grey smudge.. it never is . But I live in hope 😂

LOL, so true. It was a little easier when gold, you could check the profile quickly or not have to spend points to answer chat requests. But then again there were guys who would get pissed off saying why did you answer if you didn't want to meet.

 You will never be able to make everyone happy. If I wish to chat with someone that I have not talked to before I do not have a problem with sending a set number of points to cover the cost of the chat
(Oh to go back to the old days when the IM was free or 5 messages were free LO
