Alone

I’ve walked down this path for so long
Following its course has left me alone
Forging ahead to some I appear strong
Others see a heart has been cast in stone
Very few can see that this is all just a lie
They can see the truth I hold deep inside
There burns in me something I cannot deny
A love that’s so true it cannot be denied
It’s your touch that will free me from the cold
Igniting within me passions deep burning fire
My heart will be yours only forever to hold
My body yours to fulfill your every desire
Your hand in mine will make me feel whole
Your love will shatter my heart’s stone wall
And fill the chasm that runs deep into my soul
Blissfully I will be forever held in your thrall
All this when I feel your hand softly slide into mine
Knowing that now I will no longer be on my own
As I gaze deep into your eyes our fingers entwine
I know no fear as we head into the unknown
