Oh no! That's so sad! There's no chance at all? hmmm.... Spring is just winter fighting against summer. I have seen snow enough in May in northern Iowa to know it happens, although not every year. I am sure it is much more common in Delano and the Black Hills than here. Drive safely on the way home.

I suppose such weather is unusual but not unheard of. I certainly puts a damper on some of the fun things planned. No doubt Paul was well intentioned with his suggestion but a bathtub of warm water is So not close to Hot Springs. Glad he got a laugh. He obviously knows both of you have a somewhat bent sense of humor. (The best kind in my book.) Hope the dive back is fun and safe. Say Hi to BJ for me please. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

I'm so sorry...the Black Hills can be really unpredictable. The one time I visited (mid-May) they had had a foot of snow the week before. It was pretty much all melted but my then-boyfriend's mountain biking plans did not go well...the Park Service had not had a chance yet to do spring cleanup on the trails and he was having to lift his bike over downed trees, lol. Welcome home! Should be some nice spring weather tomorrow.
