I'm one to wait for the moment... whether it's the first or 20th. But it really depends on how well I know them and how we've communicated prior to meeting.

It is all in the situation and what you want out of it....assume most of us have been drunk enough to have done a one niter....and in this day and age lived to wake up with the thoughts who was that person what possible diseases might I just exposed my self to by sleeping with a complete stranger.....someone I was not really attracted to but they were available at the right time......good sex ,should also have a high mental attraction that develops over a peroid of time, not just the pure animamal level ....and sometimes we have to pass when we find out about the psycho ex or children or parents or all consuming job(I'm guilty here) that can render them as a less than desirable partner....for anything but a fling....I know in my case I'm mid 50's never married but a nice sweet guy and most of my closest friends have always have been females......have always had the problem of turning those friends into lovers once we are friends

Boy the silly rules some folks go by just because they read it on the internet . There we was drinking coffee with their cell phones going off every two minutes . Bring back the old days of shame and regret in the morning .

It depends on the circumstances. My now-wife and I wanted each other from our first chance meeting, but didn't actually get busy until our third date; at that point I spent the night and never left. Several hook-up dates have ended up with sex right away. My evil ex-girlfriend and I were ready for action on the first date, but schedule didn't allow it until the second. And of course sometimes it just doesn't happen, even after several dates.

I would like to vote, but you are missing an option of not having a rule. At least that would be the closest to a rule... As the only rule I have, which I make known before hand is that there is no expectations of sex when meeting for the first time. There has got to be some form of chemistry... If there is no expectations, then if there is no chemistry, everyone is free, and has no regrets afterwards...
