Why do a lot of people jump from one job to another?

I'm bewildered with some people will accept a job but suddenly decides to look for another job without considering the time, money spent and training that he/she run through with the current job he got. I've got the top 5 reasons why people tends to look for another job in just a short period of time.

I. Low salary in comparison with comrades
I do believe that salary will be offered and it's your prerogative to accept, counter-offer or decline it. Which means, any salary which you receive right now is a product of your decision upon the hiring process. I suggest that you'll need to research on the company and the field that you want to start your career, check for the average salary for an entry level or if you are an experienced one, then the salary should be higher than your past salary with the other company.

II. Proximity
This is one of the biggest factor that affects applicants to decide whether they'll accept the job or not. Why? There are just two things that they can think off, first: the nearer the location, lesser time to prepare before going to work and lesser money spent for transportation. second: the bigger distance with the work location and their house means bigger allowance for transportation, thus, they will accept the offer if there's a higher salary and can still have gain more even there's a significant increase on the transportation allowance.

III. IMPERFECTIONS IN THE COMPANY
People will surely agree with me if this will be one of the factor which trigger an individual to resign and look for another job. Basically, workers nowadays tend to base their decision on how they see the company. They'll take consideration about the facilities and any extra functions that the company can offer. Now, the sad part it, all of the companies do have their weaknesses or imperfections and it include: salary discrepancies, poor benefits for workers and not complete facilities to cater the needs of the worker.

IV. PEER PRESSURE
As the saying goes, "Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are". Many people might say that this is a cliche saying but it's a fact. Yuppies for instance, love hang-out with people that are fun, easy to get with and happy-go-lucky co-workers. The tendency is that the beliefs of these people highly influence their judgment capabilities and their decision making abilities. I'm not saying that you need to avoid people that are fun to be with but at least choose friends who are responsible enough and got a broad vision on the bigger picture of life.

V. PRIDE
This idea is a common issue which result to wrong decision. Comparison of benefits and salary plus how long you've been with the industry you are working with, extremely affects an individual. Let's say, Peter got 4 years of experience and got 18 thousand a month with health benefits and the other George which is a friend of Peter got the same amount and benefits in an entry level. Pride sinks in and Peter will be pressured to look for another opportunity who will give him bigger compensation and better benefits not considering that the past company might be planning to have a promotion for him.

The bottom line is decisions will be in the full responsibility of the individual. Imperfections will always be there and looking the bigger picture of your situation right now will enlighten you that you still have a good live to live.
