I hear you about massage, sometimes I think they take our their bad mood on me with their elbows. And we pay for the privilege. Quiet Christmas this year. Everyone away and no travel allowed. Everything in Singapore is open on Christmas Day so plenty to do here.

I had really bad back pain due improper weight training exercise about 2015 and it was worst pain I have experienced --- could not lie down without pain spreading from legs up to lower back. I could not sleep for two days and I became a bit espaarate. That is prelude to the fix I discovered. Found this book on Amazon and ordered it: 3 Minutes to a Pain Free Life By Dr Joseph Weisberg - Physical Therapist and PhD and Heidi Shink. Author provides several ways to do just SIX Stretches at 30 seconds each so total of 3 minutes. I had never seen anything like this except some of them look a little like yoga positions. He gives alternatives for people who have trouble with flexibility. The clincher is that it helped and fast --- after about 4-5 days, pain gone. I kept it up for about a month every day then slowed to once or twice a week. You may not need this for your current soreness, but there is good information in this book that almost nobody seems aware of and it could be very helpful for many people. Now whenever my muscles ache, I doo these and it works every time.

You may recall that my masseuse is also the only play partner I'm currently seeing. Our post massage play does tend to get "energetic" so it's not unusual for me to be a bit sore the next day. As a function of my long lean build, lower back issues are a long time issue. The best remedy is a child's pose stretch, followed by laying totally flat on a moderately spongy mat and rolling side to side as I feel my back relax. I need a massage too. My neck & right wrist have been bothering me the past few weeks. I think it has something to do with that weight vest I've been wearing while walking up that steep road up the mountain. I've lightened it to 10 lbs, but too no avail. Thoughts from the Garden...

Outside of the stretching and warm bath mentioned already, a foam roller could help. There was a time when it did nothing for me, but now, it really helps. And the surprising thing is that sometimes what adjusts in my lower back helps my upper back. Not much baking going on here, although my daughter is intrigued to make an apple pie from scratch. I’m sure it will be good. Feel better MissK.

I concur with MyNameIsKay in that a foam roller (or yoga balls) will help relieve the tension in your back that is jangling your nerves. Please play close attention to the range of motion indicated in video or poster you consult on rolling-out your back. Keep the roller above your rib cage or you could exacerbate your injury. I would also endorse a twice a day regimen of 500 mg IB and 500 mg Tylenol. Taken in combination, they are quite effective and short-term use should not generate issues with stomach or liver. Also per a previous comment, back stretches (especially the *seated spine twist*) are both restorative and preventative. Although I consistently ignore this advice, rest is your ally in getting through this.

Gave myself an early X-Mas present Went to my occasional parlor Got the usual 1 hour session with a gal I had not seen there before After back and leg rub-down, I was asked to roll over A towel was quickly placed too cover me As she would rub my legs, she would occasionally brush against my balls Seeing that towel was slipping off of what was now fully erect ; she took a peek under the towel She then tried too cover it ; then pointing and asked, " Massage it ? " I answered, " Of course ! " She stepped over to table, returned, uncovered it and drizzled warm oil over it, then proceeded until " Happy Ending " was achieved She received a very generous tip !!

P.S. It did feel kind of strange wearing a mask the whole time, as she was also !!

You have been a very busy lady, sorry to hear your Massage Therapist made your back hurt. If its your lower back I would suggest a heating pad as it usually works for me when I am in lot of pain. I hope you got all of your baking done, and I hope your Monday is a great start to your week..

I hope you soon get some relief for your back I may be having a painful Christmas this year. The x-rays on my feet show that I have osteoarthritis as well as wear and tear in them.
