Legislation is complex

The<b> education </font></b>of the Trump is just beginning. If Trump just learned healthcare is complicated, wait until he learns about tax reform.

With just 17% of people liking the repeal and replace healthcare law, it spiraled into defeat.

Tax reform is about ten times more difficult. Each loophole has lots of dedicated lobbyists backing that money flow. The GOP is not a unified party. The factions have factions.

Trump could make a deal with moderate Dems and Repubs, but that would totally enrage the conservative GOP. So Trump will learn it is hard to do big things. Maybe he should try to do something small. Perhaps a 200 billion infrastructure fix that is half paid for with some new taxes. Let the House figure out what taxes are acceptable. He is a big picture guy, but not a smart big picture guy.

Failure is sad and going to get worse....
