Not rational People reject science and rational thought. Why? Lots of evidence that global warming is happening and carbon dioxide and other chemicals like methane and fluorocarbons from humans are to blame. Yet the deniers are legion. Why? Lots of evidence guns are dangerous, lead to more suicide and homicide, yet many have guns in the house, even with small around. Why? Lots of people smoke, despite lots of evidence it shortens life and leads to cancer, stroke and many other health problems. Why? Lots of evidence that driving without a seat belt on leads to more injury or death, yet many refuse to use a seat belt. Why? Lots of evidence that vaccines save lives, yet many do not want to vaccinate their . Why? Lots of evidence that talking to the police if you are a suspect of a serious crime is likely to lead to your conviction, yet people talk rather than ask to speak with a lawyer and get legal advice first. Why? People want the right to ride a<b> motorcycle </font></b>without wearing a helmet, even though the helmet might save a life if there is an accident. Why? are told illegal street drugs may kill them, yet they take them anyway. Why? Freud thought people had a death wish. Why would that be a biological advantage? |
