Rick Santorum?
Rick Santorum? Rick is being recycled for the non-Mitt Romney role in the GOP nominee race. Just a few problems. Rick is even more unacceptable to mainstream Americans than Paul or Grinrich. Rick took more money than anyone else when he was in politics. Rick is even more right wing than Newt. Rick is even more crazy than Newt.. Rick is opposed to condoms and the morning after pill. Meaning he wants to force women to have unwanted . Catholic dogma is fine for the believers to follow, but forcing it on everyone else is a form of state establishing religion which is a clear violation of the First Amendment. Sharia law is opposed by many as unfairly forcing non-Muslims to follow Muslim law. What about forcing non-Catholics to follow Catholic dogma? Rick is totally unacceptable to this Democrat. Let him be the nominee and Obama is a sure re-election winner. |

The ship is slowly coming back as the economy improves. In the Bible there were seven fat years followed by seven lean years. We were dumb and expected the good times to last forever. The lean times started in Dec. of 2007, so we should be great by 2014... Whoever is president.

I think that when the ones who stopped looking, and the ones who have accepted work that is less than what they are capable of(underemployed) go back into the market the numbers will go back up... and they said the stimulus would drive the numbers down, it is still 8.5% nationally! and they are celebrating this as an achievement??? the only ones who got work from the stimulus that I know of are government workers... yes, mother nature does maintain a balance...in all things, I just wish she would come by and end my drought...

Many do not believe the recovery. But look at the employment gains in the private sector for the last eight months. Look at the corporate profits. Look at the stock market, a leading indicator. If the public sector had not been laying off hundreds of thousands of workers we would be feeling a great recovery. Another indication was car sales: GM, Ford and VW each reported sales increases of about 13% for 2011 over 2010. Consider where we were in 2008. We are recovering...

Of course it is all personal. If you are unemployed and losing your house to foreclosure the recession is a depression, and depressing...
