Pride

Pride is one of the seven deadly<b> sins </font></b>and some say the worst. I was always puzzled by that choice. Worse than wrath that leads to violence? Worse than greed that leads to denying others what they need to survive? Worse than sloth that leads to poverty? Why is pride so terrible?

I think the problem with pride is that it isolates you because you think that you are so great. Better than others and better than God. The cold aloof feeling walls you in as well as walls others out.

So I remind myself of my many failings to beat back that pride feeling. We are all sinners, which I find a comforting thought...
