So I have been kind of keeping this thought to myself, about a week ago I was out shopping with a friend in Anchorage thankfully she knows about me and this site. So anyways I know I have a face pic up and well honestly as a single guy I can play it off in a number of ways. I was recognized by a local affer, I am torn between this being a breach of etiquette or not I have always prided myself on being at the very least discreet. While I realize that I probably have my answer, I have to ask bad or not?

Oh and for a bit of Alaska, here is what was going on in town that day its called Fur Rondy. basically it is a festival that got started by fur traders that would come out of the bush to trade their furs, now well you can ride a ferris wheel in January

As far as being recognized, it depends on how the recognizer handled things... When I used to have a face pic up I would occasionally get a local guy email and say they saw me at such and such a place... it would always creep me out a little but at least it wasn't as bad as the one guy who approached me while I was shopping with my kids!!!! Talking to me about "that site" and asking how much "luck" I was having!!! Then had the nerve to email me later and say how "great" it was to meet me!

All in all I would prefer not to be recognized in any form.
