Crises Averted

Ok, now that THAT is out of the way, everybody commence on their blogging. Capice?

Remind me to never again take a day off from here. I swear it's worse than missing a couple of classes in college. I came back to all hell breaking lose. People crying, people leaving, and more importantly, people like me completely confused. Haha

Now that it's over, what have we learned from this experience? I actually mean it when I ask. I've learned that the Silver Membership is no longer an option? I've learned that it takes an act of complete rebellion to get any answers around here. Here are questions we HAVE to focus on for the next round of Bullshit handed down by the establishment:

1. Why are we not notified of upcoming changes? I mean, it's not like they have to have "our" permission, but it would be nice knowing the intentions behind what they do. I'm going to submit a suggestion on that today. I would ask for better response when finding out shit is broken. I want them to swear to us that they "roll back" the changes if it's severely impacting our ability to use the site WE PAY FOR. As a Systems Engineer, I can assure you it takes very little time to perform said actions. I'm going to also suggest they test their new code before just dumping it out into production.

2. Now that we as bloggers have a central Group, we need to get that word out as well... for all bloggers that want to make a difference. Is this the easiest and most effective solution? Should we all put a disclaimer at the top of our blogs (as a sticky) pointing said group out? If so, I'd need assistance on how to set that "table" up. If that is also acceptable, I have a direct phone number that you can call that was handed to me by another blogger that I used to call in my complaint. Let me state, however, I never got a call back. On my word, I will follow up on that today. I want to know why I was never called back.

3. We MUST dangle money before their eyes. I was willing to walk if need be; at least until things were fixed. From what I understand, you can cancel your upgraded membership at a prorated price. I'm not saying delete your account... just your paid membership. When things are fixed, upgrade your membership back to where you were. This would reinforce the rolling back of the changes mentioned in notation 1 above.

4. Demand REAL answers. Some of the emails that I saw in reference to this issue were canned responses. Share these responses in the new Blogger Group. We could use this when reporting back to the establishment. Believe it or not, the management might not even be aware of said issues until it's gotten out of hand. Off-shoring has an amazing way of sweeping these issues under the carpet. The workers don't like to admit they don't have the answers. If given to the right people (management), maybe the company will give an appropriate escalation phone number.

Any other thoughts on this? Anyone? Anyone??

Other than that, welcome back, all!
