My mother passed away on May 31. I was in Wisconsin a week ago, going through all the funeral stuff. I am currently relaxing in the back of my van in Hopkinsville, ky. I am working a sale with some friends. Enjoying some peace and quiet and relishing live nature, by myself of course. Thinking where I was a week ago and what was happening. Life does go on. If you want it to.

I have attended many funerals as we all have. But when it involves a parent, sibling, spouse/significant other or your , it is very different. It makes you realize how precious life is and how vulnerable you are. You also do a lot of reflection on life and death. I am anyway.

I decided 2 years ago, when I was going through the hip issues (some of you went through it with me), and mom going through chemo at the same time, that life is indeed short and we should be happy. That is what I strive for everyday in my life. To make the world a better place and to be happy.

I see and have met so many people that are not happy. Life is too short. If you are not happy in your situation, change it. Be happy. Yes you may be out of your comfort zone for a minute, but you will figure it out.

Now all I want is that guy to ride off into the sunset with me.
