A Sweetheart Dessert! Pound cake covered with banana, caramel sauce, blueberries, toasted almonds,

This is a sweetheart dessert. Great for Valentines Day. Great for your special honey. Great to get that special person in your life in the mood for sex. So flexible you can change toppings around. I'll tell you what I used for toppings. If Valentines Day, use strawberries, I used frozen blueberries. You can also top with some toasted coconut.

Someone gave me homemade pound cake. She makes terrific pound cake. How I wish my girlfriend to ask her to do a couple swap with us but her girlfriend is too shy for a couple swap. And my gf doesn't want her friends know what we are interested in. That's fine. I can understand, respect that, and agree with it.

I used the homemade pound cake but you can also buy it.

This is a recipe for two people.

I sliced the pound cake very thin and put it on a plate.

I then made a caramel sauce. I put 1/2 cup of sugar in a small skillet and put 1 Tb of butter in the pan. I heated it until it melted in a sauce. Some recipes will say Do not touch it! If you shake it, stir it, the sugar will crystallize. Others will say stir and beat vigorously. I've done it both ways. The butter is optional. The sugar will brown and when at the color you want, turn the heat off. At this point you can add 2 Tb of heavy cream, your choice. I've done it with and without the cream. Some recipes call for vanilla but I never add it though I may try it.

When almost done, I add one banana, sliced length wise, cover it, flip it. I then added a couple of tablespoons of dark rum but Triple Sec, Malibu Rum, Frangelica, or Creme de Menthe can be used, I then lit this using a match. After the flame died, I removed the sliced banana and carefully laid it on top of the pound cake and poured the caramel sauce over it. I topped with a few of the blueberries and on the plate, I toasted some sliced almonds in another pan, careful because they burn very quickly, I put this over the top, I put a dab of whipped cream on part of the dessert and sprinkled some powdered cocoa powder on top of the whipped cream. You can also use powdered cocoa and grate or shave chocolate from a Hershey's chocolate bar. Toasted coconut would work well.

This sounds like a complicated dessert and it isn't and it looks and tastes fantastic. You can make it quickly and it all comes together just perfectly.
