Went on a date last night...

And sure enough, When she got there I discovered that her profile photos had to have been 10-20 years out of date and she lied about not being a smoker.

But I was a gentleman and followed through anyway... engaging her in conversation and getting to know her.

Thankfully, the date/time/place selected for our date was dual purposed on my part... A friend of mine has a band and I promised her (she's married, so she's not THAT kind of friend) that I would come to see her show this week. So, I met my date a couple hours before the show so we could have dinner and talk before the volume got to the point where we couldn't do so any longer.

Because I got to hear my friend's band (and bought her recent CD) it wasn't a wasted night at all... but there'll be no second date with the lady I met.
