 Sorry, no cure. Been thru the same experience. Found that you just have to be persistent and go to a few parties so people get to know you and just be friendly to everyone. The people worth knowing will come around and you will end up having a good time. Those who are so tight in the clique they can't talk to anyone else usually aren't worth knowing anyway. Just my thoughts. Good luck.
