Blah!

I have become a hermit. I have no social life. I have no friends I can call up and say, "Let's go do something". I have been withdrawing more and more over the last year or two, and now here I am surfing Senior Sizzle blogs for excitement.

It is so easy to fall into that type of routine; it is the path of least resistance and can lead to a depressive state and negativity toward others. Please make the effort to get out more; not looking for a hookup but just interaction with people then heading back home. As they say; "baby steps". Attend an event sponsored by members of the group with the mindset of just talking to others that are out of your comfort zone just to experience the interactions.
Good luck and hope you get to feeling better.

bofdog7_11...
I do get out without looking for a hookup...
I do interact with people and then head back home....
I do attend events sponsored by members with the mindset of just talking to others...
My issue is that's where it all ends...
Empty promises of "Let's do something...coffee. lunch, hike, etc"
Fake smiles along with "you're my friend" (but only in the context of friendly acquaintance at events...never outside of them.
And you say that I am the reason for negativity towards others?
I give up trying...

Nothing wrong with that, you doing something, right ?

Times might even be getting worse later this year, depending on the election.
