They are truly beautiful animals. Anytime I'm at the shore and a school swims past, they immediately cause a small commotion. Studying this mammal must be a fascinating endeavor. They way they school, feed and seem to co-exist in their pods. The picture you posted though brings a sad thought to mind. But, they are such wonderful creatures of the sea. Bud Always Ready for Fun.

I have never seen a dolphin in person but they have always interested me. They seem to have human like traits but I like them anyway. lol There are many tales of dolphins saving peoples lives. I just we treated them as well as they do us. One of my favorite lines from Douglas Adam's book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was the dolphins last attempt at communication with humans, "So long and thanks for all the fish."

I saw the same dolphin on south beach about a month later. Poor thing
